Alumni networking opportunities
Prior DIGIT members who are now part of DIGIT’s alumni network can apply for funding to organize relevant alumni activities, including physical or digital events that promote professional collaboration, strengthen networks, and develop career-relevant skills.

APPLICATION CRITERIA
What can the funds be used for?
The funding should be used for activities that are academically relevant to the network or contribute to developing generic skills useful in your work. Examples include:
Thematic workshops and seminars
Career days
Smaller academic gatherings and study groups to exchange ideas or discuss projects
Training in research communication, grant writing, project management, or other relevant topics
Workshops aimed at developing joint publications
Requirement: The event must attract at least 4–5 members from the DIGIT alumni network. It may also be open to others, including current DIGIT members.
Organizing the event
Applicants are responsible for organizing and executing the activity, including developing the program, contacting potential speakers and carrying out the program
The DIGIT administration can assist with certain administrative tasks, such as sending invitations, following up with participants, and booking hotels or travel if needed.
What can be covered?
• Travel and accommodation costs for participants.
• Venue, equipment, and materials for the event.
• Fees for guest speakers or trainers.
• Other expenses will be considered on an individual basis.
Application process
The application should include:
A brief description of the activity, including tentative program, objectives, and relevance to the network.
A tentative timeline and budget.
An estimate of the expected number of participants/target audience.

Reporting
After the event, a short report should be submitted describing how the funds were used and the impact of the activity, which can be published on our website. The report should include 2-3 photos from the event.
