Öznur Karakaş

Postdoctoral research fellow, NTNU

Öznur Karakaş is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Uppsala University, Center for Gender Research, on a project which involves qualitative research on gender and collaboration dynamics in an e-science platform in Sweden. As of March 2023, she also started to work as a postdoctoral researcher at Norwegian Science and Technology University (NTNU) as part of BIAS, AUTOWORK and ROBOTICS4EU projects. Her research interests include philosophy of technology and science and technology studies with a focus on computationalization of scientific research, future of work and data ethics. 

Tell us about your project!

BIAS is a project that will empower the Artificial Intelligence and Human Resources Management (HRM) community by addressing algorithmic biases and mitigating them. AUTOWORK is an international research project funded by the Norwegian Research Council, with Norwegian and Australian researchers studying the future of work. Robotics4EU will ensure a more widespread adoption of (AI-based) robots focusing on 4 application areas: Agri-food, healthcare, inspection and maintenance of infrastructures and agile production by addressing user need and societal acceptance.
