Meet the Digit Board


The DIGIT board comprises seven representatives from academic and stakeholder partner institutions, as well as two members who represent the DIGIT participants.

  • Heidrun Åm, NTNU

    CHAIRPERSON

    Heidrun Åm is an associate professor at the Department for Sociology and Political Science at the Norwegian University for Science and Technology (NTNU). Her research focuses on technology and social change, in particular on the governance of emerging technologies.

  • Arvid Ellingsen, LO

    STAKEHOLDER REPRESENTATIVE

    Arvid Ellingsen serves as a Special Advisor in the Department of Social and Economic Affairs at the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO). His academic background is in business economics and political science. In his current role at LO, Ellingsen is responsible for shaping policies in the areas of higher education and research.

  • Jon Qvortrup, KS

    STAKEHOLDER REPRESENTATIVE

    Jon Qvortrup is a special advisor at the Health and Welfare Department (SVD) at The Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS). He holds a PhD in political theory from the University of Essex, England.

  • Kristin Asdal, UiO

    ACADEMIC REPRESENTATIVE

    Kristin Asdal is the center director and professor in Science and Technology Studies (STS) at the TIK Center, University of Oslo (UiO). She has a background as an economic historian and works on knowledge sociological issues related to democracy, policy formation, and the significance of different forms of expertise.

  • Anja Gjærum, INN

    PARTICIPANT REPRESENTATIVE.

    Anja Gjærum is a public sector PhD candidate at Inland University of Applied Sciences on the topic of digital transformation in rural and remote municipality organizations in Norway. She also holds a position as head of analysis and evaluation in the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.

  • Silje Anderdal Bakken, UiO

    PARTICIPANT REPRESENTATIVE

    Silje Anderdal Bakken is a postdoc at the Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law at the University of Oslo (UiO). She holds a PhD from the University of Copenhagen within the topic of “Drug dealing on social media".
