Seminar Highlights: Connecting Research School Coordinators and Sharing Best Practices

Seminar for Research School Coordinators

On June 2nd, DIGIT attended a seminar at the University of Bergen dedicated to coordinators of national research schools in Norway.

It was a great platform for sharing best practices and discussing challenges and opportunities for the research school programs. The start of the day was spent discussing internships and secondment offerings, work life relevance and the development of academic and generic courses in the research schools. The afternoon focused on innovation in the PhD education with Professor Inger Beate Pettersen from the Mohn Centre for Innovation and Regional Development as one of the speakers.

A wide array of research school attended including the Norwegian Research School on Digitalization, Culture and Society, the Industrial Research School in Complex Systems, the national research school in bioinformatics, biostatistics, and systems biology, the National Research School in Nutrition, The Norwegian Research School of Global Health, NORBARN, the Research school on changing climates in the coupled earth system, Digital Life Norway, the national graduate school in Mathematics and Science Education, HySchool, and the Petroleum Research School of Norway.
